Jan Zizka Soviet Russia Film Poster - cool brutalist artwork of Zdenek Stepanek in title role wearing eyepatch!

Jan Žižka (circa 1360 – 1424) was a renowned Czech military leader and a prominent figure in the Hussite Wars, which took place in the early 15th century. He is considered one of the greatest military strategists of his time and remains a national hero in the Czech Republic.

Otakar Vávra's Czech 1956 medieval war drama depicts Jan Žižka, empowered by the teachings of Jan Hus, as he launches a relentless guerrilla war against the followers of Emperor Sigismund, attempting to unite the people of Prague behind the Hussite cause.
